Galerie Meyer – Oceanic & Eskimo Art located in the heart of the Saint Germain-des-Près district is pleased to participate in the 32nd edition of the BIENNALE organized by the Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA) in the Grand Palais Éphémère. I will present an ephemeral exhibition composed of art-works chosen in relation to my personal and professional interests – my secret garden. Stepping out of the constrains of the specializations and expertise that limits me professionally, I offer here an intimate and personal look at the different eras and cultures that surround me at home and in my dreams. To collectors and visitors, I offer to their eyes and I propose to their « lust » major works from the High Middle Ages, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, passing from the Stone Age to Contemporary Art and of course along with the very best master-works of my two passions : the ancient cultures of the Pacific islands and the Arctic.

La Galerie Meyer – Oceanic & Eskimo Art située au cœur du quartier de Saint Germain-des-Près est heureuse de participer 32e édition de La BIENNALE organisée par le Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA) dans le Grand Palais Éphémère. Je vais présenter une exposition éphémère composée d'un ensemble d'œuvres choisi parmi mes pôles d'intérêts personnels et professionnels – mon jardin secret. Sortant du carcan des spécialisations et de l'expertise qui me limite, je propose un regard intimiste et personnel sur les différentes époques et cultures qui m'entourent à la maison et dans mes songes. Aux collectionneurs et visiteurs, j'offre à leur regard et je propose à leur convoitise des œuvres majeures provenant du Haut Moyen Age, de l'Asie, de l'Afrique, et des Amériques, passant de l'Age de Pierre à l'Art Contemporain et bien sur mes deux passions : les arts des cultures anciennes des îles du Pacifique et de l'Arctique.

DANIEL BLAU is pleased to announce the three winners of “3 Under 30”, the gallery’s competition for young photographers : Jimmy Chin Kiu Lee, Sarah Louise Lordan and Manon Martsch.


The gallery received numerous submissions from emerging artists around the world.The winning photographers were selected based on the strengths of their portfolio and accompanying statement.


Daniel Blau will present a selection of works by these talented young photographers at a group exhibition in Paris during Photo Saint Germain in November 2021 at Galerie Meyer, 17 rue des Beaux-Aets, 75006 Paris.

I am so very pleased to be able to return to Basel and to invite you to visit the PoP-Up exhibition that is organized in conjunction with my estimed collegues Beck & Eggeling International Fine Art of Dusseldorf and Aurel Scheibler from Berlin during the ARTBasel week.

I will be exhibiting a beautiful selection of archaic and important Oceanic and Eskimo Art along with the superb 20th and 21st century paintings and sculptures of my co-exhibitors.

An exhibition of over 200 stone objects from most parts of the world and most cultures ranging from the simple forms of the axe and adze blade to the sweeping beauty of food pounders to the exquiste sculture of religious and ancestral representations.

Signes, Volutes et Graphismes : Du texte à la parole le visuel se fait entendre : 27/04 au 26/05

De la spatule à chaux de la région Massim dont le personnage est orné de spirales et de zigzags au Churinga Aborigène recouverts de minuscules stries ou de ronds et spirales en passant par la pagaie dont la lame est ornée en haut relief d’un poison mythologique impressionnant cette exposition met en rapport et synergie les signes et lettres qui composent nos différents langages quotidiens, fonctionnels et rituels.
Cette exposition se tient en même temps que l'exposition "Métagraphies" : les dessins étranges et singuliers de l'artiste Serge Dubuc : 27/04 au 26/05
Ces deux expositions concomitantes Signes, Volutes et Graphismes et Métagraphies, tentent de nous exposer et nous expliquer les différentes manières de l'enregistrement et de la transmission des mythes et histoire des cultures oraux océaniennes n'ayant pas développé l'écriture au regard des dessins de l'artiste Serge DUBUC qui justement utilise les signes et lettres de notre écriture pour nous raconter des histoires visuelles...

Glyphs, Arabesques and Graphics : From text to speech the visual is heard : 27/04 to 26/05

From the Massim lime spatula whose ancestral figure is adorned with spirals and zigzags to the Aborigine Churinga covered with minute incised lines or circles and spirals to the paddle whose blade is adorned with an impressive mythological fish, this exhibition connects and synergizes the signs and letters that make up our various daily functional and ritual languages.

This exhibition is held at the same time as the exhibition "Metagraphics": the strange and singular drawings of the artist Serge Dubuc: 27/04 to 26/05

These two concurrent exhibitions Glyphs, Arabesques and Graphics and Metagraphics, try to expose and explain to us the different ways of recording and transmitting myths and history in the Oceanic oral cultures that have not developed writing in contrast to the drawings of the artist Serge DUBUC who uses the glyphs and letters of our writing to tell us visual stories...

French auctioneers Rois-Vauprés Enchères will hammer down on Valentine's Day along with the experts Laurent Dodier (SFEP) and Anthony JP Meyer (SFEP & CEEA) an auction comprising 3 private collections of early Oceanic Art from New Caledonia and Polynesia, including a set of rare drawings by the Solomon Islands artist Somuk as well as several fine pieces from British Columbia, precolombian stone objects, an orientaliste painting, modern art and fine silver.


Les oeuvres dispersées aux enchères par Rois & Vauprès Enchères le Dimanche de la Saint Valentin proviennent de 3 collections privées d’Art Océanien de la Nouvelle-Calédonie et de la Polynésie, incluant un ensemble de rares dessins de l’artiste Somuk des Iles Salomon, ainsi que quelques trésors de la Colombie-Britannique, des objets en pierre précolombiens des Amériques, des livres Surréalistes ainsi que de l'orientalisme, peinture moderne et argenterie.
